Goryeogung Palace Site, the temporary capital of Goryeo, the place of “Oegyujanggak”, which was part of the imperial library

高丽临时都城的高丽宫址，王室图书馆的附属机构的‘外奎章阁’所在地

 
The royal family moved the capital from Songdo Island to Ganghwado Island, which was the fortress blessed with natural barriers, for defense in the 19th year of King Gojong in the Goryeo Dynasty (1232). It was occupied for 39 years until returning to Gaeseong at the 11th year of King Wonjong in the Goryeo Dynasty (1270). Even though it was a temporary capital, the castle was built like Songdo Island’s and the hill at the back named “Songak” to keep the royal culture and system. Castles and palaces were destroyed by several wars, but the No.11-8 National Treasure Ganghwa Dongjong, and Seungpyeongmun Gate, Yusubudongheon and Yibangcheong were restored.

高丽高宗19年（1232年），王室为了对抗蒙古侵略，将都城从松岛迁到天赐要地的江华岛。此时，迁址的都城址就是高丽宫址。高丽宫址到高丽元宗11年（1270年）还都到开城为止，使用了39年期间。虽然是临时的都城，将建筑物与松岛的宫阙设计的相似，后山之名也定为‘松岳’，在高丽宫址蕴藏着对王室文化与制度不愿意遗忘的意志。遭受多次战乱，宫阙与城墙倒塌，但还遗留着宝物第11-8号的江华铜钟，且复原了朝鲜时代建筑物的昇平门、江华留守府东轩、吏房厅等。

Oegyujanggak is the most famous in this place. It was the imperial library of Ganghwado Island affiliated with gyujanggak to keep the royal books of King Jeongjo of the Joseon Dynasty. It held Uigwe, which was a book to arrange the national ceremonies, and books related to the royal family, but some of them were plundered by the French army and the rest was burnt down during the French campaign against Korea. At long last, on November 12, 2012, there was an agreement between Korea and the French president for Korea to rent and return royal books of Oegyujanggak along the renewal of contract of every five years, so the precious royal books finally came back to Korea after a 145-year absence.

在高丽宫址最受关注的是‘外奎章阁’。外奎章阁是朝鲜正祖时期为了保管王室相关书籍，在江华岛设置的图书馆，起到王室图书馆-奎章阁的附属图书馆作用。包括整理王室或国家主要活动内容的‘仪轨’，虽然保管了王室相关书籍，但在丙寅洋扰时，法国军掠夺了多数书籍，剩下的被火烧毁。此后，经过很长时间的2010年11月12日，韩国与法国总统之间实现将外奎章阁图书每五年更新合同的租借形式返还的协议，由此珍贵的王室书籍终于在经过145年之后回到祖国的怀抱。
