INTRODUCE

The abandoned quarry transformed into the culture art space

从被遗弃的废采石场，到充满艺术与文化馨香的复合文化艺术空间

Pocheon Art Valley is in the foot of Mt. Cheonjusan that was representative granite quarry in Korea at the late 1960. After finishing to quarry, it was neglected. However, the nature environment had been restored, and finally it can be transformed into culture and art space in 2009. There are various exhibitions, including Stone Culture Exhibition, educational exhibitions, the sculpture park with granite,  and the outdoor stage.

抱川艺术谷所在的天柱山脚，是1960年代后期韩国代表性花岗岩采石场。采石结束之后，作为废采石场放置并被遗忘之后，于2009年复原环境，并经过文化与艺术这一治愈的援手，以复合文化艺术空间的抱川艺术谷。现在这个地方包括石文化宣传展示馆，建设了各种展示馆、教育展示中心、花岗岩为材料的雕刻公园，并在利用花岗岩陡壁的演出特设舞台与野外演出场，举办各种周末演出。

In 2013, Astronomical Science Museum was founded. Also, there is a monorail on the main approach to Art Valley to help the easy access for the old and the infirm. Cheonjuho Lake, that was formed by quarrying granite and water, is the representative attraction. It is prohibited to enter the lake to keep its good water quality as the first grade lake that crawfishes, salamanders and minnows are living.

2013年开张天文科学馆，还可以开始美丽的星空观光。而且，抱川艺术谷主要进入口的倾斜路区间的单轨，给老弱者提供便利。采取花岗岩的时候挖掘的凹陷处流入泉水形成的天柱湖，成为抱川艺术谷的代表性风景。石蟹与鳄蜥、鲢鱼等栖息的一等级水的湖水，为了水质保护与安全，禁止进出湖水。
