DMZ Museum, located inside the Civil Control Line, was constructed with the hoping of peace for both South and North Korea. In the museum, there are displays and videos featuring the looks before and after of the Korean War, the historical significance of the Military Demarcation Line, the pains of separated families, and the ecologic environment of DMZ. You can see the armistice agreement of July 27, 1953 at Panmunjeom, the documents of Korean Military Meeting, typewriter of a military reporter, reported photos about the war, letter of an American prisoner and more in the museum. Several remains discovered from DMZ and near areas are also displayed.

位于民间人控制区域内的DMZ博物馆是带着韩国与北韩双方希望和平与安定的愿望而建立。在DMZ博物馆展示着6.25战争爆发前后的面貌与军事分界线的历史性意义、离散家族的痛苦、DMZ的生态环境等为主题的展示品与影像。在此处，可以观赏1953年7月27日在板门店签署的停战协定当时的停战协定书、韩国军士停战委员会的会议录（1~50次）、外国从军记者的打字机、战争相关报道照片、美军俘虏的信笺、失踪者通知书等。同时还展示着在DMZ及其邻近发掘的多数战争遗物。

The permanent exhibition hall provides a Peace tree which the visitors may hang a written personal wish for the unification. Messages of hope from about two hundred thousand people hangs on the tree. You can purchase a variety of symbolic souvenirs of DMZ in the museum shop, and there are also souvenir making and War food Experience, which you can make a lasting significant memory. Plus, you can enjoy a comfortable rest in the northernmost café of Korea, where you can see the blue waters of East Sea in one sight.

而且，常设展示馆还备有访客亲手写上统一愿望的纸条并挂上去的和平树，开馆至今保留着大约20万名流下来的愿望纸条。在美术馆商店可以购买具有DMZ的象征意义的各种纪念品，并可以通过纪念品制作体验区、战争饮食体验区等留下更多有意义的会议。在蓝色的东海进入眼帘的韩国最北端咖啡厅，可以享受舒适的休息。
