Commend the heroic sacrifice of soldiers, who defended Baekseoksan Mountain
纪念以不知疲劳的斗志与珍贵的牺牲，守护百石山的祖国英雄
Yanggu bangsanmyeon Songhyeonri Baekseoksan is the forefront of the Armed Forces and military demarcation line that is connected to Taebaeksan Mountain. Since September 24, 1951 until October 1, over the eight days battle of baekseoksan was deployed. Baekseoksan district is geographically very dangerous and even supply routes were cut. Moreover, the North Koreans have built solid heights; Armed Forces were in extremely disadvantageous position and were forced towards the rocky cliffs. Despite the difficulties, 7th divisions of the Armed forces were able to recapture some heights. Following attack attempts continued throughout the 25 to 26 of September but was unable to recapture baekseksan, and then they shifted with 8th division of Armed forces.
百石山地区战斗战绩碑所在的杨口郡方山面松岘里地百石山是环抱军事分界线的国军最前方高地的同时，也是以连接到太白山脉山峰的险峻的山岳地带。1951年9月24日开始到10月1日为止的8天期间，展开了百石山高地夺回战。百石山地区在地形上非常险恶，补给路也几乎被断开的森林地带。更何况，北韩军已经建筑坚固的高地，国军被处在只能向着奇岩绝壁攻击的非常不利的位置。在这样的困难之中，国军第7师团于9月24日开始攻击战，夺回了一部分高地。继而，在9月25日与26日，继续试图攻击，但最终没能夺回百石山，与国军第8师团交替百石山攻击任务。
