The clean and clear water flowing down nine turns between the rock cliffs
奇岩绝壁之间九个弯曲之后掉落的清澈干净的水柱，九曲瀑布
Gugok Falls is located at the foot of Mt. Bonghwa of 486m altitude, with the height of 50m. Its name holds the meaning ‘falls that flows through nine turns’. Not only the falls itself, but the hiking path of 700m to the falls is also very beautiful, which is the reason for its popularity among families and lovers. Around the falls form cliffs like ‘Haneulbyeok Rock’ which provides better view of the falls. In winter, an enormous icy wall is formed, and ice hikers often pay a visit. When you follow the right scape at the entrance of Gugok Falls, you can see ‘Munbae Village’ developed in a small area. It is a peaceful town in the mountain, so peaceful that it wasn’t affected by the Korean War at all. Here, you can taste the delicious traditional foods like herbal Baeksuk, Chon tofu, and Nokdujeon.
