Tomato Festival in Hwacheon has been held around the town of Sachang-ri, Sanae-myun, Hwacheon-gun, since 2003. It provides unusual things to see and experience with tomatoes that is a representative of vegetables of Hwacheon, and 10 million people visit to the festival every year. The day before the main event, it has a festival ceremony. During the festival, it has Pungmul with the local residents, a singing contest and a firework. It offers various experience programs with tomatoes, such as tomato zenga, tomato wrestling, tomato sliding and making a tomato sandwich. You can enjoy the performance of professional dance team and army. 

2003年开始的华川西红柿庆典，是每年8月在华川郡史内面社仓里市区一带举办。每年10万人来访，成为盛况的华川西红柿庆典，利用华川的代表农产品的西红柿，提供多样、独特的风景与体验。主要活动前一天举行庆典宣布仪式，庆典当天进行华川郡住民一起享受的住民街头风物游戏、西红柿歌唱赛、火花娱乐等。还准备了利用西红柿的各种娱乐体验。西红柿堆高游戏、西红柿摔跤、西红柿滑行、千人西红柿三明治制作等，任何人轻松参与的附带活动，使庆典更加丰盛。还可以享受专门舞蹈队与演出团队、军队等各种祝贺舞台。
